Is The Golf Academy Of America A Good School For Me To Become A Professional Tour Golfer?
I am contemplating on whether or not i should consider attending the Golf Academy Of America (Phoenix Campus). I want to push my game to the level it needs to achieve my tour card status. Anyone have any reviews or know anyone that went here?

Save your money. What you need is to pay for a 1 on 1 coach to help you focus on different aspects of your abilities. If you suck at your swing, get a swing coach. Once you master that, and your putting sucks, get a putting coach. Practice your skills on the course and driving range as often as possible. Once you become a low handicap golfer, go to Q-School and put your skills to the test.

Trying to learn golf in a multi person school environment is a waste of money. Everybody is different and needs specialized instruction catered to them.

I am not familiar with the Golf Academy but no present pro golfer has used that venue to become a tour professional. Those in our area who have played on the tours did so by being excellent golfers, They either starred in college, were the best players in the district and the region, qualified for the tour prior to the present system of Q school. In order to make the tour today you must have a fantastic game and go through the regional and national qualifying venue. Then if you are within the top 25 or so, you will get your playing card. Those in the next layer of 25 will qualify for the Nationwide . If those top 50 do not earn enough money in the coming season, they lose their cards and go back to qualifying again. The Golf Academy isn’t a way to go for a PGA card.

the academy you are referring to is not to become tour pro. it is to become country club pro. teaches business accounting public relations . all that are required to become head pro. what you want is something along the lines of the leadbetter academy. good luck work and play well.
