I want to learn to play golf, how do I start?
I have no experience at all…REPEAT NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL… So any suggestion on how to start learning would be very helpful…apparently high school sport team isn’t a place for you to learn since you need to know how to play before you can join….
Thank You.
yes, I’m a student.
You mentioned high school, so you must still be in school. Depending on your age, check to see if First Tee is being taught at any of your local courses. If you don’t have clubs perhaps you can borrow some until you see if you even like the game before you spend a bunch of money.
If you are not still a student, contact a local pro (a course can provide you with a name) and take a few lessons. They may be able to provide you clubs so you won’t have to have a set. Once you decide you want to continue, get a your own clubs.
Good luck

Buy a set of cheap clubs. My first clubs were 40$ (they were juniors though) and go to the driving range a couple of times. Then get some lessons. They are normally around 130 for a pack of five. They last about 40 minutes each.
After you can hit somewhat consistently, go to a local par three course. The holes will be short and good for beginners.
Next year, continue lessons, and get some new clubs If you are getting pretty good.

First, buy a set of golf clubs that work and that are cheap. Then, I would recommend getting a golf pro or coach at a local golf course. After a few months with him you could already be better than a lot of other players. GOOD LUCK!!!

Find a driving range that has a qualified instructor and take lessons. DO NOT BUY any clubs

If there is a goodwill in your town, go there and buy yourself a pitching wedge, it shouldn’t cost more than 2 bucks. Goodwill is where i bought myself a nice set of maxfli blades, 2 fairway woods, and a leather staff bag, for 10 dollars. Then go to your public course, buy yourself a bucket of range balls, and go to the range. Observe the people at the range so you can get an idea on how to hit, and go on from there.

Dear student, welcome to the real world. Golf is a frustrating game, a lonely game, an unforgiving game, but a marvelous challenge and sport.
Try looking at the TV Global golf station and get free lessons from golf experts. You will absorb golf technic and soon be able to go to a driving range to hit balls like a pro. It takes some concentration and a few clubs to get familiar with the game but that should come after you get the basics. Good lock with your golf quest – Tiger.
